Western Digital HDD 3.5” PURPLE CCTV 8TB WD85PURZ

The Western Digital Purple WD85PURZ is a high-capacity, 8TB surveillance drive designed for professional-grade security environments. Compared to the 4TB model, this drive isn't just bigger; it’s significantly more robust, featuring higher performance metrics and specialized support for AI-driven surveillance.

• AI Support (AllFrame AI™): Unlike the standard 4TB version, the 8TB model is designed to handle Deep Learning analytics. It supports 32 additional AI streams, allowing your NVR to perform facial recognition or object detection while simultaneously recording high-def video.
• HelioSeal™ Technology: Many 8TB+ WD drives utilize helium instead of air inside the drive. Helium is 1/7th the density of air, reducing turbulence, friction, and heat, which significantly increases long-term reliability.
• Vibration Protection: It includes RV (Rotational Vibration) sensors. This is crucial if you are installing the drive in a chassis with 8 or more HDDs, as the vibration from neighboring drives can cause data errors or physical damage in cheaper drives.
